Crestwood
T-Ball Registration for 2008 Season Begins!
Meridian, MS
- June 03, 2008 - The
Downtown Optimist Club announces that registration for the 2008 Season of
Crestwood T-Ball has begun! Crestwood T-Ball games will be held at
Crestwood fields during the month of July. Each team will play ten (10)
games and trophies will be awarded at the last game.
Registration
will be held on from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on three separate nights:

June 12
Registration
will take place at Crestwood Baseball Field. Children ages 4 to 6 are
encouraged to participate. Cost is $60 per child ($50 for each additional
child in the same family) and includes a jersey and baseball cap for each
child. Parents are also encouraged to attend and participate in the
coaching and will be given an opportunity to volunteer during the
registration process.
"As 'Friends of Youth' the Downtown Optimist Club has always
encouraged children to explore sports as an excellent way to learn, grow,
and make friends that last a lifetime.' said DTOC club President, Jeff
Jenkins. "T-Ball is also a great opportunity for parents to spend
quality time with their children while helping to shape their
future," he added.
If your
child is between the ages of 4 and 6, take this opportunity to sign up for
Crestwood T-Ball. Learning the game of baseball is just as much fun as
playing it!
The DownTown
Optimist Club has been supporting youth programs such as Junior Golf and
Youth Baseball programs in the Meridian area for over 60 years.
