Optimist District Golf Tournament

On June 15th and 16th at Briarwood Country Club, the Downtown Optimist Club of Meridian will be hosting the AL-LA-MS District Junior Golf Tournament. Downtown Optimist Club members are encouraged to help at the District tournament with registration, serving as marshalls, etc.
This might be the most high-profile event we sponsor because the winner gets the free trip to the international tournament at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Florida. Those sponsored by the DTOC who have won the trip in the past include Benji Carpenter (twice), Dan Singley, Daniel Boles (twice), John Thomas Williamson and Clay Bounds.
2009 DTOC Junior Golf Schedule

The schedule for the 2009 season of Junior Golf is below. Children ages 6 to 17 are encouraged to participate and may be dropped off. Start time is 8:00am and play should be completed by 11:30am.
