DTOC Donates To Help Purchase Safety Equipment

On Tuesday, May 1st, 2018, Downtown Optimist Club President Lee Thaggard presented a check to Mike LaFrance of the Southeast Youth Football Association as a donation to help the organization buy safety equipment such as shoulder pads for the kids who participate in their program. The SYFA plans to eventually be able to provide safety equipment to all players without requiring their parents to purchase their own equipment. This will ensure that all of the equipment used is in good shape and can protect the players while at the same time reducing the cost of participation for parents!
